Calls to the Sheriff's Office

The greatest number of calls to the Sheriff’s Office in 2013 were for vehicle stops, school security checks, alarms, and disturbances.

Crime Statistics

Greenville County experienced over 40,000 crime offenses in 2013, led by simple assaults, malicious damage, and trespassing.

The Office received 207,000 calls for services in 2013 and clear two thirds of the offenses. Over 26,000 arrests were made and 20,000 warrants served.

Of major offenses, almost 31% were solved.

Sheriff Calls by Time Period

Most calls to the Sheriff’s Office happen between the hours of 9am and 2pm. A much smaller number happen in the late evening and early morning.  The busiest day is Friday, and the busiest month is May.
